Looking for a nice spring getaway? Why not make it a bed and breakfast?

But where to go?

There are Bed and Breakfasts all over the country, but why not get in a little bit of last minute skiing before the season ends? And the best place to do that is Utah of course – the only place you can find “The Greatest Snow On Earth”.

And luckily, there are Bed and Breakfast’s in the skiing areas, specifically Park City.

Right in Park City you’ll find two Bed and Breakfast’s to choose from for your ski trip, the Silver Moose Ranch and The Old Town Guest House.

The Silver Moose Ranch claims it’s ‘The Most Scenic Bed and Breakfast in Park City’, and with the beautiful 360 degree mountainous view, it very well might be.

You’ll experience a full rustic comfort at the Silver Moose Ranch bed and breakfast and just be 3.5 miles away from that ski lift.

Silver Moose Ranch Room Details:

•	The Master Suite – from $120
•	The Aspen Room – from $90
•	The O’Sullivan’s Spring Room – from $100
•	The Wasatch Room – from $100
•	The Garden-Themed Columbine Room – from $80

The Old Town Guest House is situated in old town Park City and is perfect for the ski getaway, but tends to be the more expensive option of the two bed and breakfasts.

Despite the price, The Old Town Guest House has been voted Best Inn for Outdoor Sports Enthusiasts 5 years in a row by inn-goers in Arrington’s Bed & Breakfast Journal’s Book of Lists.

At The Old Town Guest House you’ll be close to the ski lifts as well and right in the exciting atmosphere of Park City.

The Old Town Guest House Room Details:

•	Treasure Hollow – from $189
•	McConky’s Suite – from $199
•	Silver Skis – from $99-$199
•	Quit-N-Time – from $99-$199

Whichever Bed and Breakfast you decide to go with, you’ll be able to get on the slopes quickly and take in some of that ‘Greatest Snow on Earth’.

So far we’ve discussed some of the most romantic and fairy-tale locations that you could possibly find in your hotel hopping experience. But what if “nice” isn’t your style? What if you’re looking for a hotel that will thrill and chill you with its flickering lights and ghostly knocks at your bedroom door?

Although technically not a bed and breakfast, This 12-story hotel may seem like an ordinary place to stop for the night, and in fact, many people claim that “glamor never looked so good.” From its Tropicana bar to its famed Teddy’s nightclub, Hollywood Roosevelt seems fairly friendly for a supposedly haunted hotel.

Despite its historic Spanish-style architecture and its history for hosting the Academy Awards inside its Blossom Ballroom, many travelers claim to see the ghost of Marilyn Monroe frequenting its rooms and hallways. According to legend, the 9th floor (where Marilyn often visited) is the best place to spot apparitions, listen to ghostly moans, and feel the temperature drop inexplicably.

A few employees have reported to see a man in a suite turn the corner and walk out the emergency exit, without making a sound. Many guests testify that loud footsteps roam the halls at night, and a few even note that they here trumpets practicing (supposedly the ghost of Montgomery Clift who lived in room 928). Coffee makers and TVs turn on of their own accord and strange voices in recordings warn visitors to “turn around.”

However, don’t let the paranormal activity of this building scare you away from enjoying a good night’s stay at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. It also offers an Olympic-size outdoor pool, 9 restaurants, a massage garden, and a state-of-the- art gym.

Looks like Mario and Luigi aren’t the only ones hanging around sewer pipes all day. In Das Park Hotel, you’ll have the unique experience of staying the night in a one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast (though technically speaking there are now two: one in Germany and the other in Ottensheim, Austria).

Rather than paying for lavish chandeliers and extravagant bedspreads, at Das Park Hotel, you decide how much your stay was worth.

Created with standard concrete drainage or sewer pipe sections, Das Park Hotel rooms are a unique blend of utilitarian design with user-friendly decorating. Rooms are simple but inexplicably appealing. Wall paintings add a homey touch to these sturdy and robust bedrooms, and not surprisingly, these sewer pipe rooms need very little maintenance.

Of course, vandalism may seem a temptation for many guests, but for the most part, Das Park Hotel is family friendly environment. Rooms stay pleasantly cool in summer and undoubtedly warm during the winter. For added protection and security, Das Park Hotel provides uses with advanced lock and electronic keypad systems.

Rooms include full headroom, double beds, storage, electricity, warm blankets, and light cotton sleeping bags. Other necessities such as showers, minibars, cafes, and toilets are supplied by the surrounding public space. Whether you can afford to travel and are looking for the ultimately unique experience, or if you’re simply trying to budget your money, Das Park Hotel can accommodate your needs because lodging is as little or as much as guests are willing to pay.

Details

Rates: Varies between individuals
Months available: May-October

Reservations can be made through their online website. Upon booking, guests will receive a personalized entry code to the suite.
Because Das Park Hotel obtains sanitation, breakfast, and other hotel facilities from existing public infrastructure, it allows for a “pay as you wish” system. The money goes to the continuation of this unique bed and breakfast experience, but the amount is specified by the guest.

The Newport Belle is a riverboat located in Newport, Oregon, in the Yaquina harbor. With an exquisite view of the Yaquina bay, bridge, and the sea, you’re going to get the most amazing view staying on the Newport Belle. The Newport Belle is a sternwheel riverboat constructed in 1993, designed as a Bed & Breakfast. Although she is a river-worthy, US Coast Guard registered vessel, we do not leave the dock for excursions.

She is 97′ long with a beam of 24′. With nearly 3,000 sq. ft. of living space on three decks, the Belle combines the nostalgia of a turn-of-the-century atmosphere with all the amenities the modern traveler expects.

There are five different rooms available ranging in price and season.
